JINEOLOJÎ IS DE WETENSCHAP VAN VROUWEN, LEVEN EN SAMENLEVING

En houdt zich bezig met de vraag: HOE KAN EEN VRIJ LEVEN ER UIT ZIEN ?

 

De term Jineolojî is bedacht door de Koerdische leider Äbdullah Öcalan.

‘Jin’ is het Koerdische woord voor ‘vrouw’.

‘Jinelojî’ is de ‘wetenschap van vrouwen en leven’.

‘Jîyan’ betekent ‘leven’. In deze woorden zijn vrouwen en leven onlosmakelijk met elkaar verbonden.

 En het is vooral de Koerdische vrouwenbeweging die betekenis geeft aan het woord Jineolojî .

 

Jîneolojî moedigt vrouwen aan om hun geschiedenis, omstandigheden, dromen en worstelingen te onderzoeken en een groter zelfbewustzijn te verwerven.

Jineolojî is meer dan een academische theorie.  Jineoloji omvat alle gebieden van de samenleving. Jineolojî  is leven en leren door oefenen en reflectie.

Jineolojî streeft naar een samenleving die rekening houdt met de behoeften van alle levende wezens, zodat mens en natuur duurzaam kunnen samenleven.

 

Jineolojî bouwt voort op ondergewaardeerde en verborgen kennis van vrouwen met verschillende achtergronden. Met die diversiteit aan kennis en ervaring kan een vrij en democratisch leven opgebouwd worden, waarin iedereen zich verbonden weet. Deze vorm van denken gaat uit van de kracht van vrouwen en staat in contrast met de op macht en concurrentie gebaseerde patriarchale denkwijze, die gedurende enige millennia bepalend is geweest voor de vormgeving van wetenschap en samenleving.

Jineolojî streeft naar een heel andere meer democratische samenlevingsvorm dan de huidige kapitalistische staten.

And it is primarily the Kurdish women's movement that gives meaning to this new word.

 

Jîneolojî encourages women to explore their histories, circumstances, dreams and struggles and gain greater self-awareness.

Jineolojî is more than an academic theory. Jineoloji encompasses all areas of society. Jineolojî is living and learning through practice and reflection.

Jineolojî strives for a society that takes into account the needs of all living beings, so that people and nature can live together sustainably.

 

Jineolojî builds on undervalued and hidden knowledge of women from different backgrounds. With this diversity of knowledge and experience, a free and democratic life can be built in which everyone feels connected.

This form of thinking is based on women's strength and contrasts with the patriarchal way of thinking based on dominance and competition that has shaped science and society for thousands of years.

Jineolojî strives for a different, more democratic form of society than the current sovereign capitalist states.
